WHO WE ARE

OR D’OLEA produces and sells our high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We are now in our fourth generation of olive growers and the first ones to offer our own highly regarded olive oil.

Our Project

Our project is led by Antonio Cloquell, trained as an agricultural engineer with a large family tradition in the cultivating of olive trees. This project was born with the aim of highlighting Olive Oil of the different native varieties grown in Sierra Mariola Natural Park, in order to share our passion for the olive trees and high-quality oil.

Family business

An updated family business, focused on the creation of a high-quality EVOO brand that begins with the careful and pampered cultivation of olive trees. All the oil we make comes from our traditional mountain olive grove located in small Spanish hillsides or terraces adapted to the orography of the land, which make its cultivation and mechanisation difficult.

It is the olive grove of our great-grandparents, grandparents and parents that has been passed down from generation to generation. These are centennial and millennial olive trees located in a unique environment, in the heart of Sierra Mariola Natural Park full of numerous aromatic and medicinal plants that give our oils exceptional organoleptic characteristics. Furthermore, the climate and its location, more than 600 meters above sea level, provide a Premium EVOO with a high content of vitamins A, D, E together with polyphenols, natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties responsible for the bitter and spicy flavours that gives the oil its character.

 

OUR VALUES

These are the principles that guide us and support our working philosophy and the way we do things, the essence of our identity. At Or d’Olea, these principals are very clear:

Quality

We select and collect the olives on their optimal day for their immediate pressing and thus obtain an Oil with the highest quality without losing any properties.

Tradition

We maintain family crops, creating wealth for the area, so that the olive groves are not abandoned, respecting the philosophy of our ancestors who have been producing oil for centuries, prioritising quality over quantity.

Sustainability

We use glass bottles so that they can be recycled. Additionally, we value the richness of the environment around us and strive to preserve it by carrying out sustainable care and harvesting practises.

Social

We produce quality EVOO at a fair price, contributing to the maintenance of local employment and establishing the population in a rural area. All this, in order to stop depopulation in an area where, due to its climate and orography, other crops could not prosper.

Health

Numerous studies confirm the benefits of EVOO for our body. For this reason, we are proud to offer this superfood on which the precious Mediterranean diet is built, which allows us to improve our quality of life.
